Help me

So I've got a problem. Really it's not a problem in the sense that problems are bad. It's the kind of problem like I have a $50 gift card to Williams-Sonoma and I don't know what to buy.

Please folks, make this problem go away, let me know what you think I should get.

I always get more bar glasses, champagne flutes, speciality wine glasses.

That kind of stuff. I love it so much. I want one of those under cabinet racks - except that my cabinets are quite low to the countertops.

Anyhow, good luck! Tell us what you got.

If it were me, I would just wait until the moment I'm at home (or wherever) and suddenly go, "Oh, man, you know what I need? Such-and-such. Oh! They sell such-and-such at Williams-Sonoma, and lucky for me I have a gift card I can use. :o)"

Such-and-suches are so useful.

okay, i haven't had a chance to catch up on your blog so don't know all what your into or what you like, but if i had $50 bucks, i wouldn't actually buy anything for that cost, i would def put it towards a really cool item that is a bit more than that. I would get a mandoline, it will come in handy one day or pile on a bunch little things like silicone spatulas and wooden spoon (you always need a bunch of those) and oh yeah some classic white ramekins for making creme brulee or mac n cheese. nuff said, have fun =)

Oh what a wonderful problem! If you don't have a great knife for chopping, that's a key thing to own. Otherwise, wait 'til you really want something, and use it then. You'll be happy to have the gift card, especially if it's really expensive.

I would buy a 12" skillet, and in it I would cook this -

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
3 eggs
4 tbsp butter

Heat oven to 375. Mix milk, flour and eggs. Put butter in skillet and heat in oven until butter sizzles. Pour batter into hot skillet and bake for 13 minutes. It'll puff up like a souffle.

Easiest breakfast ever, and absolutely to *die for* with apricot jam. Seriously.

I meant to specify - cast iron skillet. Don't put your teflon in the oven.
