Chopsticks Cafe Now Open Downtown

Chopsticks cafe, the little sister of the Georgetown sushi eatery opened earlier this month immediately next to Java Green near the corner of 19th and L St. NW

The location, made specially for the lunch rush, features a number of hot options in addition to a decent variety of sushi.

Most dishes will run you under ten dollars, and there's ample seating both inside and out.

Thanks for the post-- I work in this area and am sick of eating at the salad bar across the street every day. Can't wait to try this out!

I was very excited when this place opened as well. But was kinda disappointed when I tried their bibimbap - rice and vegetable dish w/ hot sauce. It was mostly rice w/ very few vegetables, and it should really be the reverse proportion. The hot sauce was also just hot, but not tasty. I haven't tried anything else yet, but I think they need to be more expressive with their food - meaning, if you're going to serve Korean food, make it taste like Korean food. Don't be afraid. I also thought the portions should also be larger. You're in a competitive neighborhood w/ Green Java and Nooshi nearby. I'm willing to pay more, for more food. In the end, it always seems like a better deal.
More later when I try some more dishes. Good luck.
