So many food festivals, so little time

It'll be a good weekend to be hungry, as you'll have not one, but two food festivals to choose from in Alexandria.

At the Lee-Fendall House Museum on Saturday from noon until 5pm, you can enjoy three Bluegrass bands, and "some of the best BBQ in Northern Virginia". Tickets for adults are $45, and reservations are required.

If you're looking to save a little money, Alexandria's Armenian Festival is the way to go. Along with Armenian arts and crafts, you'll find, "Beef, lamb and pork kabobs, lahmajun (a Middle Eastern style gourmet pizza), dolma (stuffed vegetable dishes), pitas, chopped vegetable salad, baklava (a layered pastry made of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup), and other food and beverages will be available for purchase."

So start planning now, and hope for good weather, there's plenty of good eating to be had this weekend.
