Chop't Rosslyn Location to open March 24th

Chop't will open its third DC area location, and its first in Virginia next Monday, March 24th in Rosslyn.

It will be interesting to see how the location, a couple blocks away from the metro, will do, and if it will compete directly with Georgetown's Sweetgreen.

I've been a fan of Chop't since it opened up in Chinatown. I like the concept and I think the execution is pretty good.

What about you? Would you like to see Chop't grow beyond three stores? Or do you think this is an idea that has been done to death?

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. I think Chop't is the biggest disappointment to hit Chinatown. I thought it had SO much potential, but I find the food (while somewhat fresh) to be pretty tasteless.

I like the whole idea of seeing the ingredients freshly "chopped," but this slows the ordering process down. My recommendation for a new location would be to have just ONE chopping station and let the other stations be mixer-and-dress stations.

I live just around the corner from the newly-opened Rosslyn Chop't and walk by it every day. Even though I don't see it at lunchtime (their busiest time, I'm sure), business looks to increasingly at a healthy rate; they already appear to have expanded their hours beyond their posted closing times. (A couple nights ago I saw them still open and filling orders after 8PM - despite a closing time of 7.)

I have to disagree about the tastelessness. Their chef-designed salad combinations seem pretty well put together, from what I've tried.
