What's your favorite restaurant?
Since I've gotten to the point where I get a handful of comments on most of my posts, I'm going to go out there and ask a question I've been wanting to ask for a while:
What's your favorite restaurant?
Mine is 2 Amy's. Not only is it the best pizza I've ever had, but everything else I've had there has always been great. The atmosphere is inviting, and while it may be loud, I've never had a problem holding a conversation there.
I won't limit this to DC (where most of my readers live), but I'd like to get a sense of where you all like to eat, and the kind of places I should look into reviewing in the future.
I'd really appreciate the feedback, and perhaps I'll even make a visit to whichever restaurant wins out.

Blue Duck Tavern and Rasika were probably my best dining experiences in DC, but as a regular at neither, I'd feel guilty calling them "my favorites." I feel like Viridian could have filled that void, if only it hadn't closed.
At home in Pennsylvania, it'd be The Inn at Phillips Mill, a French restaurant set on the estate where the Bucks County impressionist movement began. It's also a B&B, so it's more homey than pretentious -- oh and BYOB with no corking fee.
I don't really have one, but I WILL be checking out Amy's!
Favorites by City:
Dallas - Louie's (It's Greek style pizza. The service sucks and the location leaves a lot to be desired but the pizza et al is amazing.)
LA (dinner)- The Chart House. (Eh, kind of standard type thing but they have caviar on their salad bar and I'm easily impressed. Also, they have beets on there, so I'm sure you'd love it.)
LA (breakfast) - Off Street Cafe. Beet omelette. Need I say more?
LA (lunch) - 25 Degrees. It's a wine & burger bar.
Vegas - The Rio. (They have this amazing seafood (all you can eat of course) with everything from the regular things like crab and shrimp to lobster tails mussels. It's fifty bucks but totally worth it.)
Central Coast, CA - Splash Cafe (They have the best clam chowder in the world.)
I'm done rambling.
Komi. No contest.
Does Chipotle count?
I'd have to say Zola for most things-- its just never disapointed me-- but Osaka back in Northampton for nostalgia.
I'm with dcfabulous . . . mine is Komi . . . without a doubt. I only wish I could afford to eat there more often!
Favorites: Blue Duck Tavern, Corduroy, and my standby: Pizzeria Paradiso. On my (shortest) Must-Try list: Proof, Eve, Komi (and SO MANY more...)
I have to go with Afghan Grill. The pumpkin is the best (kadu buranee) but I also like the rice with the raisins and carrots. Yum!
