Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!

No hidden food agenda here. Just wishing everyone who celebrates a very Merry Christmas.

So, what did you get this Christmas? What were you hoping to get? What didn't you get?

And most importantly (here's where that hidden food agenda comes in)...what's for dinner?!?

Merry Christmas!

I just want to let you know that I enjoy reading your blog.

And to answer your questions, I got the third season of Arrested Development, so I'm excited. And I'm going home to my mom's today, so I'm sure whatever food I'll be having will be yummy. :o)

Hope you have excellent food today as well!

Oooh, I like these questions.

Dinner last night consisted of traditional German potato salad and wursts (yum) and today we are having another traditional German dish called Rhouladen. It's difficult to explain but they're awesome.

Gifts are as follows:
1) HUGE mega-awesome purse
2) new traveling coffee mug
3) 500g external hard drive (score!)
4) a bottle of my favorite perfume
5) a bottle of tequila (from my dad)
6) cash

I feel like I made out like a bandit.. plus, my 26th birthday is tomorrow so MORE presents are on the way. mwuahahaha

How 'bout you? Whatcha get?

ps: it's rouladen, not rhouladen.

gifts included an immersion blender, an 8" cast iron/aluminum pan, a whole foods gift card, an oil/vinegar dispenser set, an onion saver, and a dad-made rolling pin. (sense a theme?) dinner was at les halles-- one of the few places open, and surprisingly good. mussels weren't necessarily the best i've had in the past week, but pretty tasty.

I went to a couple of dinners, with different things served...

but my favorite Christmas dinner is the classic Franco-American version: Pork Pie served with a great mustard sauce.

Well, I got flying lessons, but alas, did not get to use them. It came down to a last minute "Well maybe you should wait until it gets warmer, so that you don't shiver and lose control" from my mother.

Q: What good does a piece of paper do me?
A: Nothing. :(
